Disney Soul movie review

Posted by GFNSProductions on December 27, 2020 at 10:20 PM

Just finished watching the movie - Soul. As the ending song stated, - it is aaight. Does give good insight about the meaning of life. Namely: life is not so much about completing goals and items off a dream list but rather the comprehensive collection of experiences that ultimately reflect a life well lived. I did find the absence with respect to Jesus Christ in the afterlife scenes a bit troubling; however, I understand why as this film was primarily intended for mass consumption. Therefo...

Richies Plank Experience Virtual Reality Game review

I liked this game until I realized how demonic in nature it is. By fooling individuals into thinking that they are actually in that top story, then suggesting that they jump off, they may possibly desensitize individuals to the thought of suicide. (Matthew 4:5-7) Highly discourage this game for individuals facing emotional issues and/or youngsters. Worst yet, I did not realize the serious of these issues until I let my 9 & 5 years old play this game. I can not begin to tell you how this has affe... Read Full Post »

Tenet - Movie Review /Parable

Just watched this movie Tenet and, without giving away any spoilers, it really had me thinking about the topic of eternity and free will. I often think about how God views us from the vantage point of eternity. (Romans 9:14-26) Knowing the end from the beginning, God maneuvers events around for the benefits of those who love Him because He already saw who those individuals would be from His perspective looking back. (Romans 8:28) Even us! In fact, He loved us so much that He stepped into... Read Full Post »

12 Years a Slave

I recently had the priviledge of watching the movie "12 Years A slave", and I must honestly say that no other film has broken my heart so many times in one showing as this one. 12 Years a Slave is a 2013 British-American historical drama film and an adaptation of the 1853 memoir Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup, a New York State-born free African American man who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C., in 1841 and sold into slavery.(Source: Wikipedia) Each seen was riddl...

Courageous - Honor Begins at Home

Last night, we rented the movie, 'Courageous,' from redbox and boy were we surprised. That movie was so good, and taught us so many life lessons. Namely, a fatherless house is one of the most devastating factors to the increase in gangs in the world. During one scene, it was said, "A recent study was done on the increase in violent gang activity. In almost every case, each gang member had a similar attribute: runaways, drop outs, kids on drugs, and teens in prison. That attribu...

Super 8/ What do you seek First?

One word: Slow. Plot took too long to move and I found myself falling asleep in the middle of the movie. I once saw the end of the movie at a drive-in, but now I had the opportunity to rent it in the comfort of my own home. Although I couldn't sit through the entire middle part of it, I was still able to obtain a lesson from it. Namely, we should imitate those kid's sense of determination in the face of all obstacles. Despite the fact that the world was falling apart around the...

Return of the Ninja/ Kill Bill or Nick?

Keax:

A man of Asian decent with a dark blue hoodie came to my door the other night. He kept knocking on my door, so I asked, "Who is it?" He asked, "Is this Nicolas Joachim?" I asked again, "Who is it?" He asked again, "Is this Nicolas Joachim?" Then my mind started to gravitate towards a movie that I recently watched, namely: Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2. As a result, I thought to myself tha...

Suffer the Little Children/ Megamind

Posted by GFNSProductions on January 5, 2012 at 9:45 PM Comments comments ()

Why do we think so little of kids? (Mark 10:13, 14) Some have even gone to the point of trying to convince them that being bad is the best way to grow up to be successful. I've noticed some children's movies carrying this theme of Villains as superhero's, such as: Megamind. I enjoyed the movie because it reminded me of myself. I was Megamind. As a matter a fact, sometimes I still act like him: thinking that I'm smarter than God to my detriment. Like Nas said, "Some people are t...

Fight Club/ Spirit Vs. Flesh

Posted by GFNSProductions on December 31, 2011 at 4:30 AM Comments comments ()

Which one is leading you? Let me give you a hint: Do your words and actions currently reflect what someone would do if Jesus was trying to portray himself through them? Like the Apostle Paul said, "Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life an...
